John, Another Voice In The Story

John

John, the people thought you might have been the Christ. No way, you said, but I’m privileged to point the way to Him.

You saw the dove,  heard the words, no imagination needed there. Even more you saw Jesus’ face at the moment heaven opened. Fully God, fully man, yes, that was the only explanation.

What were you feeling John? Perhaps…

Lord, thinking of You
Easily becomes my favorite thing to do,
You penetrate the depth of my being,
With warmth and a chilling thrill.
Quiet becomes stiller,
Joy becomes deeper,
Each day of life becomes richer
Friendships becomes fuller
Nothing, no one compares,
How simply satisfying,
Every thought of You.
And the challenging lessons You teach.
Greatness dwells in simplicity,
Meaning thrives in holiness,
Power exists in humility.
Precious Jesus, how true!

You considered yourself a scared, human being, about to be beheaded. You only needed to hear again from Jesus: I got it right, didn’t I? You are the God man personified.

Yes, yes, yes!

This treasure you found, John, you shared: Jesus is Lord of all!
